MK Events & Co. (“we”, “us”) is an event planning studio based in Ghana. We are responsible for the personal data you share with us through this website. Questions about this policy can be sent through our enquiry form or by phone on +233 50 645 9298.

• Enquiries — your name, email, phone number and the event details you choose to share (event type, date, venue, guest count, budget and your message).
• Newsletter — your email address, if you sign up to hear from the studio.
• Website usage — anonymous information about how the site is used (pages visited, device and approximate location), collected through Google Analytics cookies.

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to plan your event.
• To send studio news, only if you have signed up. Every email lets you unsubscribe.
• To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the website.

We process your data with your consent (which you give when you submit a form or sign up), to take steps you’ve asked for before entering into an agreement with us, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving our business — as permitted by the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run the website:

• Resend — delivers enquiry emails and stores newsletter sign-ups.
• Google Analytics — measures website usage.
• Our hosting provider — serves the website.

Some of these providers process data outside Ghana. We use reputable providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to Ghanaian law. If you book with us, we may also share relevant details with the suppliers working on your event, such as your venue or florist.

We use Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see how the site is used. They don’t identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the website will still work.

Enquiries are kept for up to two years so we can follow up and refer back to your plans, or longer if you become a client and we need records for accounting. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Under Ghanaian data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data, or stop using it for marketing;
